King Rocky shirt, 2011. Design for my band, Great Caesar. Last November, my parents adopted a dachshund/beagle mix named Rocky from a kill shelter in North Carolina. My mom got professional photos taken of him as a Christmas present for my dad, one of which was the source photo for this graphic. He looked so stoic and regal, a sharp contrast to how spastic he actually is, so I figured I’d throw a crown on him. These shirts are actually now available to purchase from the Great Caesar webstore, but we’ll also have them at all of our upcoming shows! I (Headphone) WQAQ shirt, 2011. WQAQ has been my life for the last 4 years, and before I graduated I wanted to leave a mark on the station that would last for at least a few years. I designed this logo to reflect the love and passion that the members of the organization have for it, a statement that I wanted to be made boldly and simply. The design echoes the iconic “I (Heart) NY” logo that endeared millions to New York, and hopefully it will do the same for future Quinnipiac students.
